For Women: What is your take on men who wear speedo swimming trunks, as to wearing regular swimming trunks?
Do they make men look gay? sexy? For those who don’t know, speedos are the swim gear that olympic swimmers wear. They kind of look like bikini underwear.
Speedos are probably the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. Especially if the guy is not that fit, and his stomach and saddlebags roll over the top. No straight guy should ever think they are okay to wear…ever…unless they are an Olympic swimmer. They are horrible. I went with my uncle to a beach one time when I was like 12, and he had on a leapard print thong. It was probably one of the most embarassing times in my life. You know how a 12 year old girl is, easily embarassed.
Overview on men’s swimwear
Swimwear is also called swimsuit or beachwear. It can be worn by men, women and children. Swimsuits dates back to Grecian times and early Pompeii. Although swimwear is available for centuries, it got a new look only in 18th century. What started as a way of preventing transparency of the body while getting wet, soon became by the 1950’s a sexy way of showing off the body. Men’s swimwear covers only from below the waist.

Many people think Board shorts can be used only for swimwear purpose. But nowadays people who live in warmer climates opt to wear board shorts as everyday attire.
